Steeve

Steeve was born to Mom and Dad in Caebrook. Mom and Dad were super chill and grew cool things like mushrooms. When Steeve went to school, he didn't truly fit in. But one of his teachers, Mr. Teacher, noticed he learned a lot better if he could draw things himself. While there was no skill in his art, Steeve learned much better with a colouring book in hand. As he grew up, he did find he had one talent: beer. He loved measuring with cups and listening to the brew work. One day, while working in the back of the local tavern, Steeve grabbed a long stirring rod to stir his latest batch called: Beer. What he didn't realize, was that he had mistakenly grabbed a staff that had been mixed up by the closing shift the night before. The moment it touched the beer, the cauldron exploded and something magical was awoken in Steeve; a force that had been dormant in the family for centuries.

A week later, an angry wizard came to the town, demanding something about stolen property? He began setting the town on fire building by building. The townsfolk ran, including Steeve, who tripped on his way out.  As he tripped, the magical staff shot a bolt of fire up the cliff side, sending a massive boulder down and crushing the wizard, stopping his reign of terror. The town rejoiced and considered Steeve a hero. He tried to protest, but they would not hear it, saying he was just being humble and they were all wrong about him being an idiot.

The town began to rebuild and realized they were short on funds. They elected Steeve to go to Aldercastle to compete in a deathmatch to win money to help them rebuild. His protests fell short and he soon found himself in the arena. His ability to hide saved him in the battle royale style match until it was just him and a MASSIVE Barbarian. The Barbarian ran at him at top speed and Steeve extended his staff... and the Barbarian dropped dead. Clerics would tell you it was a miracle, but medical practitioners would call it "a heart attack". Luck was on Steeve's side again and he brought the money home. But the money did not last too long. The town leader, Mr. Mayor, told Steeve there was rumour of a job starting in Circle Creek and ordered the town hero to join.

And thus, Steeve made his way to Circle Creek in search of The Gallant Horde. He knows he's in over his head but since the town won't believe him... what choice does he have other than to do his best and try not to die?
