Loralai Hexe is from a small farming community just north of Circle Creek called Finore. She grew up with two loving parents, and a very sweet older brother, Nix. The Hexes are from a long line of farmers, their specialty being cabbages. The Hexes are also a family of humans, so when Anna gave birth to a baby with a tail, her and Henrik believed they’d been given a beautiful gift from the gods. They doted on their daughter.
As little Loralai became more curious about the world around her, she became a little bit more slippery. She’d run off to explore, and often Nix would be the one to go out after her. She was thrilled when she discovered she could do magic, from about the age of 5 rotations. She had excitedly run up to her brother and showed him how she could make the scrape on her knee bleed without touching it. It was around that time her fascination with the topic of Death started appearing. She seemed to know more than your average kindergartener, and would often bring up the philosophy of Kifa.
In her early 20s, Loralai’s need to explore got stronger. She was still finding reasons to slip away from the farm just to see what there was to see around Finore. But soon, she heard whispers from passers-by about an adventuring guild not too far away in Circle Creek. She knew that she could make it there in around a week of walking. In the night she wrote a note to her family, and took off. She left to seek adventure, and the opportunity to better learn how her magic works. She heard stories of strong Clerics who could even speak to the gods, and that was a dream. Now, of course, she’s learning it wasn’t such a wild possibility.
