Jaya

On the continent of Fistrul, there is a vast jungle called the Malahaya Jungle. Jaya is from a Vanaran clan in this jungle. Since she was a tiny being, she has been able to hear the thoughts in people’s heads. To some degree she has learned to tune them out, usually by humming to herself, but is unable to do so when people think things loudly.

Her clan was pretty cool - they liked and loved her, but she began to realise that people were often a bit weirded out by the fact that she could know what they were thinking. So she decided to go out into the world, explore, and learn about her power - most importantly, learn to control it.

She travelled out of the jungle and across The Spit - a thin piece of land connecting Fistrul to Olend. She then went down the west coast, through Travorno and various port cities, until she hopped on a boat and sailed to Althea. While in Merterra, she heard about the Horde and decided that this may be a good way to learn about her power. So she travelled to Circle Creek and joined up.

She discovered that the members of the Horde are remarkably accepting of weird unexplained powers - possibly because so many of them have them. So she is confident that this is a place where she can learn control her power, and use it for good.
